Dentsu India Opens a Creative-Led Performance Studio

The new Bengaluru-based practice connects creative strategy, AI production, media and measurement—with a target of 1,000+ assets a month.

Dentsu India Bets on Creative-Led Performance

Dentsu India has launched a new practice designed to make creative the center of performance marketing. Dentsu Performance Studio unites creative strategy, AI-enabled production, media execution and measurement under one connected model.

What the studio actually is

The practice introduces what dentsu calls Performance Marketing 3.0. Instead of treating creative, media and measurement as separate workstreams, the studio connects them as a continuous loop. As platforms handle more audience selection, placement and bidding automatically, creative becomes the variable most likely to move results.

At the center sits a 3,000 sq ft production studio in Bengaluru. It will produce static ads, AI-generated video, brand assets and platform-specific content. Dentsu said the operation is targeting capacity of more than 1,000 assets a month as it scales.

Results in a Box

The studio runs on a model called Results in a Box. That framework links business objectives to creative strategy, production, media execution and measurement. In practice, teams will use campaign performance data to assess what is working and feed those signals back into the next round of content.

Abhirup Datta, CEO of performance practice media solutions at dentsu India and CEO of Sokrati India, summed up the shift: “Performance marketing is entering a new chapter.” The pitch is that brands buy a connected outcome, not a stack of disconnected services.

Why this matters for growth teams

For D2C brands and performance advertisers, this is part of a wider pattern. Bidding and audience targeting are increasingly automated. That means the old playbook of optimizing keywords and audiences only gets you so far. The next compounding advantage often comes from creative iteration: more variations, faster feedback and tighter testing loops.

A useful way to think about the model:

  • Treat creative as media inventory, not a one-off campaign asset.
  • Let performance data decide which concepts, hooks and formats scale.
  • Build a connected production and measurement system so learnings feed the next batch quickly.

Leadership and the road ahead

Vidhu Ravinath and Archisman Sarangi have been appointed vice presidents and business heads of Dentsu Performance Studio. Their remit covers performance media, creative strategy and AI-enabled production. The leadership signal is clear: dentsu is positioning creative production as a repeatable performance system rather than a service buried inside media planning.

For marketing teams, the takeaway is simple. If you are still testing three ad variations a quarter, you are leaving speed on the table. The creative engine is becoming the growth engine.
