Invoca’s AI Agents Turn Google Search Chats Into Booked Revenue

Invoca's new beta puts AI agents inside Google Search chat entry points. They qualify leads, book appointments and send revenue back to Google Ads bidding.

AI agents book Google Search chats and feed sales to Google Ads

Invoca has put AI agents where high-intent Google Search conversations start. The company’s new Messaging Agents For Google Ads, announced October 28 in beta, answers clicks on Google Search chat buttons, qualifies the buyer, quotes pricing and books appointments around the clock. It then reports which conversations turned into sales back to Google Ads for bidding. It is Invoca’s third launch this month, after packages for home services and healthcare.

From search result to verified chat thread

The launch covers one paid surface and three organic ones: Message ads in Google Ads, plus Web Results, Sitelinks and Featured Snippets. Tapping any of them opens a Rich Communication Services thread in the phone’s default messaging app instead of sending the person to a landing page. The thread carries the brand name, logo, colors and a verification badge.

RCS is the successor to SMS, built into Google Messages on Android and supported on iPhone since iOS 18. That changes where the relationship lives: the chat sits next to personal texts and remains after the search ends.

The measurement loop is the real pitch

Invoca’s agents are trained on a brand’s own data and can check service availability, geographic coverage, pricing and booking systems. For paid search teams, however, the more valuable claim is attribution. A Google click is tied to the source that surfaced the message, Invoca records the conversation and any conversion, revenue from a CRM or commerce platform is matched back, and the outcome is sent to Google Ads to feed Smart Bidding and Performance Max.

That is the difference between measuring an engagement and measuring a sale. Invoca’s own 2026 buyer research gives the urgency: 79% of US consumers said they would switch to a brand that responds faster.

Open questions before you test

Marketers should keep three gaps in view.

  • Agent ownership: Google has a Gemini-powered agent for the same RCS format, and the release does not say how a brand divides work between Google’s AI and Invoca’s.
  • Measurement mechanics: Invoca does not name the import method, and Google Ads ignores offline conversions uploaded more than seven days after the event. A same-day home repair booking fits that window; a mortgage that closes weeks later may not.
  • Reach and pricing: The release gives no countries, no prices and no named product customers. It also excludes protected health information, so healthcare conversations from Invoca’s October 20 launch cannot move here yet.

What to do with it

Treat this as a signal, not a finished playbook. If you run Search ads in financial services, telecom, home services or travel, map offline revenue events so they can come back quickly enough for bidding. If you test a message button, document which AI is actually answering and how a human takes over when the buyer wants one.

Invoca’s data also sets the trust threshold: 83% of US consumers said it matters that a brand’s AI identifies itself as AI, and nearly 60% prefer a human when both are equally available. A verified, clearly badged agent can build trust; a hidden one could do the opposite.

Google’s Alexandre Allemand called the pair a way to “turn search results into business results.” That is the promise. Pricing, geography and attribution will decide whether it scales.
