How AI Helps Henkel Scale 60,000 Creator Assets

Henkel went from 300 to 400 brand assets a year to 60,000 Pravana creator posts. AI workflows now decide what to review, boost, and scale.

How Henkel scales 60,000 creator posts with AI

Pravana spent years building a polished, professional salon image. Then a TikTok creator filmed a casual bathroom video about a leave-in treatment in pajamas. The post moved product and sparked other creators to make their own Pravana content. Henkel, Pravana’s parent, suddenly had a very different view of how the brand should show up online.

“It took a lot of convincing our teams to go on TikTok Shop, and now it’s really paying off,” Cedric Parsiegla, VP of modern marketing, AI, and growth enablement at Henkel, said at Brandweek 2026.

From hundreds of assets to tens of thousands

The scale problem arrived quickly. Henkel’s marketing team might traditionally produce 300 to 400 assets in a year. Pravana alone has generated about 60,000 pieces of content this year, and it is just one brand in Henkel’s professional hair care portfolio. Manual review is not a realistic option at that volume.

That is where Boost Engine, Henkel’s social commerce technology and services partner, comes in. Its AI and agentic workflows cover creator discovery, outreach, content analysis, and compliance review. The system flags what deserves paid amplification, what needs scrutiny, and what warrants human attention.

AI as triage, not autopilot

The goal is not to remove humans from creator commerce. “AI is actually augmentation of our human capabilities,” said Alex Yang, co-founder and president of Boost Engine.

The practical shift is that repetitive reporting, analysis, and review move to automation. Teams spend the saved time on decisions about content, partnerships, and business performance. Emily Freed, GM U.S. agency at TikTok for Business, summed up the change: “You’re making strategy decisions, not reporting.”

A simple loop for creator-led growth

Henkel’s playbook points to a repeatable detect-verify-amplify-measure loop:

  • Detect: find creator posts that are already converting or gaining velocity.
  • Verify: use AI to check claims, product use, and brand safety before scaling.
  • Amplify: shift paid budget behind organic creator content that proves demand.
  • Measure: track whether TikTok Shop activity reaches new consumers or simply moves existing demand.

Henkel is already testing what comes next: TikTok-first launches for some new and exclusive products. Parsiegla said that approach would have been hard to imagine six months earlier.

Freed called the incrementality of a net-new marketplace “the magic for most brands.” Parsiegla noted that TikTok Shop activity appears to spill into other channels, supporting the idea that the platform is reaching new consumers rather than shifting existing demand.

For performance marketers, the warning is clear. Creator volume will not wait for legacy approval workflows. The brands that win will be the ones that automate the busywork and keep humans on the decisions that actually compound.
