LinkedIn CTV Ads Enter DV360 with a 2.6x B2B Awareness Claim

Google's DSP can now buy LinkedIn profile-based CTV ads for US campaigns, as B2B professional data moves deeper into programmatic streaming.

LinkedIn CTV Ads Enter DV360 with a 2.6x B2B Awareness Claim

LinkedIn’s professional targeting moves into Google’s DSP

On October 22, LinkedIn and Google opened a new programmatic route for B2B streaming. Advertisers can now buy LinkedIn’s Connected TV Ads through Display & Video 360, applying job title, industry and seniority targeting to premium TV inventory. The inventory itself flows through Microsoft Monetize.

Access is limited to US targeting and is not self-serve. Teams need a LinkedIn or Google account representative to activate it. That keeps the launch controlled while both platforms stay quiet on pricing, minimums and deal terms.

Why the three-party setup matters

Most CTV ads segment households by demographics, viewing behaviour or purchase data. LinkedIn’s version segments by occupation, using what LinkedIn describes as first-party professional signals from member profiles. For B2B buyers, that can shift the conversation from “reach a household” to “reach a plausible decision-maker.”

The more immediate benefit is workflow. Agencies often consolidate video budgets inside one DSP for frequency management, reporting and contractual leverage. If a B2B audience only exists inside LinkedIn’s Campaign Manager, it may lose the budget battle before performance is even measured.

Dave Roter, LinkedIn’s senior director of global agencies and video solutions, framed it as a fit issue: “Advertisers want buying experiences that fit seamlessly into their existing workflows.”

What the announcement leaves out

Neither company published CPM ranges, minimum spend, audience thresholds or the streaming publishers included. That is not a formality. Earlier DSP routes for LinkedIn CTV audiences reportedly required a minimum of $50,000 over 30 days and a minimum audience of one million members. Google and LinkedIn have not confirmed whether those terms follow to DV360.

Scrutinise the performance claims

LinkedIn says its CTV Ads have been shown to be 2.6x more effective at driving awareness among B2B audiences than other CTV offerings, and 2x more effective when paired with other LinkedIn ad formats. The company cites Kantar research, but the announcement offers no methodology, sample size or definition of the comparison set. Treat the numbers as useful signals for a test, not an independent benchmark.

Internal LinkedIn figures add more texture: a 24% increase in unique B2B reach beyond the feed and a 30% lower cost per lead for audiences first reached by CTV.

How to play this now

  • Ask your DV360 rep whether the earlier minimums and audience floors apply.
  • Request the list of streaming publishers before committing budget.
  • Start with a small brand-lift test rather than a full DR rollout.
  • Use iSpot or similar third-party verification to check reach and overlap.

For B2B growth teams, this is less about a brand new channel and more about lowering the activation cost of LinkedIn’s professional data. The opportunity is real, but the terms are still in the rep’s inbox.
